Colibri
The greatest enhancer to Windows desktop usability: Colibri Type Ahead. It's been sooooo long since I've clicked on the start button the last time.

This appears to be like Quicksilver for Mac OS X. Now I can have that functionality on my Windows box at work.

I've used Launchy for a long time to do the same thing... I don't know how much of a difference there is between the two though.
I'm a Launchy user and just gave Colibri a try. Colibri is a bit sluggish in comparision.
Yes, I tried a lot of those launching apps. And Launchy is just the one!
BTW: Enso is another interesting tool in that league.
