Peter Jackson probably won't do The Hobbit



As you might already know, there is a dispute between New Line Cinema and Peter Jackson. They're basically trying to use his passion and desire to direct The Hobbit to make him drop a law suit related to some dubious accounting actions of the studios. Naturally, he wouldn't back off. Now, it looks like it escalated even further.

Here is a letter in witch Jackson explains a little, in quite tempered terms.

Of course, the studio has it's saying. Just a quote that seams to me very revealing on their whole mentality:
He thinks that we owe him something after we've paid him over a quarter of a billion dollars. ...
